Privacy policy
Krishna Gyaan: Bhakti & Seva is operated by EternalKnot. This policy covers our Android app, public website and account-support service.
Accounts and sign-in
The app uses Firebase Authentication for anonymous guest sign-in and Google Sign-In. We do not offer phone-number, SMS or Facebook sign-in. Guest accounts have a generated account identifier. With Google Sign-In, we receive account information such as your name, email address and profile photo. We do not receive your Google password.
Information used by the app
- Account identifiers, profile preferences and Google profile information, when supplied.
- Messages sent to Gyaan AI, conversation history, selected guide and language context, to generate responses. Avoid sharing sensitive personal information in chat.
- Saved wisdom, journal and mood entries, devotional progress, Swarn Mudra credits, purchases, rewards and referral activity, as used by enabled features. Some progress and downloads stay on your device.
- Device/app details, Advertising ID, notification tokens, usage events, crash reports and diagnostics, according to enabled services and your choices.
- AI-response reports and information you voluntarily provide to support. Contacting support by phone or WhatsApp shares contact information with that service.
Why we use this information
We use it to provide authentication, devotional features and AI chat, save choices and progress, process Google Play in-app purchases and subscriptions, send requested reminders, measure app reliability, prevent misuse, and respond to reports, support or deletion requests. Advertising and campaign measurement help fund and improve the app.
Services that process information
- Google Play In-App Billing: processes subscription and consumable purchases (such as Swarn Mudra packs and Krishna Gyaan Premium subscriptions). Payment credentials and transactions are handled securely by Google Play under Google's Privacy Policy. EternalKnot does not receive, process, or store credit card numbers, UPI credentials, or banking details.
- Google and Firebase: authentication, Firestore/Storage, Cloud Messaging, Analytics and Crashlytics. Analytics and Crashlytics collect app/device, usage and diagnostic information by default to understand use and reliability.
- Google AdMob: banner, interstitial and rewarded ads for ad-supported users, with device and advertising information used according to Google UMP consent and settings.
- Meta App Events: app-event and campaign measurement only after the separate Meta opt-in described below. We do not offer Facebook Login.
- Groq and any AI provider configured for Gyaan AI: your prompt and relevant conversation context are sent through our HTTPS backend to generate a response.
- Our hosting provider: securely serves the website, API and media and may retain access/error logs. WhatsApp processes messages when you choose that support channel.
These providers may process information in countries other than yours under their own policies. We do not sell your personal information.
Subscriptions, in-app purchases and ads
The app offers Krishna Gyaan Premium subscriptions and Swarn Mudra consumable credits via Google Play Billing. Subscribers and devotees with an active 3-Day Free Trial enjoy a 100% ad-free experience across the entire app. For ad-supported users, Google AdMob uses Google's consent form (UMP) where required. Meta App Events is off by default and starts only if you separately opt in to let Meta measure ad installs and app activity using your Android Advertising ID. The optional, unchecked Meta choice appears on the Deity onboarding screen, separately from Terms acceptance, and is for adults aged 18 and over. When enabled, Meta receives Advertising ID, generic app activation/open and completed-ad events, successful account registration method, and verified purchase amount/currency with a generic plan identifier, plus SDK device/network information. Meta does not initialize at cold start, even with a saved choice; a consent-control action is required for activation in that app process. We do not send Meta prayer, deity, ritual, message, name, email or phone details. You can turn Meta measurement off anytime in Profile → Account & Permissions.
Permissions and controls
Notifications are optional and permission is requested when you enable a reminder. Wallpapers may request Android access when you set one. Ringtones are saved to your phone's Ringtones collection; you choose a saved sound yourself in Android Sound settings. The app does not request permission to modify system settings. On older Android versions, saving media may request storage access. You can manage permissions and advertising preferences in Android settings and use the separate Google and Meta privacy controls in the app.
Retention and deletion
Account records and chat history are kept while needed to provide your account and features. AI prompts and relevant conversation context are processed by our backend and configured AI provider. Reports retain the response, reason and identifiers needed to investigate abuse. You can request deletion through Profile → Account & Permissions → Request Deletion or at our account and data deletion page. Requests are reviewed for ownership and completed within 30 days. On completion, account data in Firebase and the app backend is scheduled for deletion; backups may expire on their normal cycle. A pseudonymous deletion reference and limited security/support/audit records may remain where necessary to prevent misuse, prove completion, resolve disputes or meet legal obligations. Files downloaded or shared outside the app are not deleted. Uninstalling or deleting an account does not cancel Krishna Gyaan Premium. Cancel or pause from Wallet or Profile → Account & Permissions; both buttons open Google Play Subscriptions.
Security
App requests use HTTPS. Account data and administrator actions are protected through authentication and access controls. Server credentials are held outside the app and public website directory. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Audience
The app's intended audience is adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child supplied information so we can investigate and remove it.
This website
The landing and legal pages do not require an account and do not load advertising or analytics scripts. Following provider-policy or WhatsApp links takes you to those services. Our host may record IP address and browser details for operation and security.
